Raj Mittal

Founder and Managing Partner, Neural International Partners LLC

Raj Mittal is the Founder & Managing Partner of Neural International Partners, a Consulting firm focused on Risk Advisory and Risk Training activities.  He is also Senior Advisor to TrAIce, a Fintech start-up focusing on developing AI based Credit Portfolio monitoring tools and early warning signals from alternative data sources. He has also been Senior Advisor to the Risk Management & Compliance leadership team at Genpact, a leading global Consulting and BPO firm till December 2022.

Prior to setting up this venture in 2017, after a global career with Citibank spanning three decades, Raj retired as Managing Director in Risk Management. His career at Citi covered various roles including:

  • Head of Risk and Regulatory Capital Allocations in New York
  • Institutional Banking Head of Operational Risk Analytics in New York
  • Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East Region, Bahrain
  • Senior Banker, Financial Institution, Bahrain
  • Senior Banker, Corporate Banking, New Delhi, India

Raj is a specialist in Enterprise Risk Management. At Citi, he pioneered the high impact application of ERM principles to Business and established the Algorithmic Trading Risk Management program for Citi Capital Markets. He has been an invited speaker on ERM topics at several forums:

  • The GARP Operational Risk Forum, New York
  • Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, Bahrain
  • American Society of Actuaries Annual meeting, New York
  • IBBM Basel II Conference, Kuala Lumpur
  • NYU Stern Graduate School of Business, New York

Throughout his career, Raj has followed his passion for teaching and was involved in several Corporate Training initiatives at Citi.  Early in his career, he also worked as Lecturer in Economics at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
