Patrick Askew

Patrick Askew is the Executive Vice President for McKissack & McKissack and in his current role he serves as the Deputy Director for the New JFK Terminal One Project. As part of the leadership team Patrick brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the design & construction industry. Patrick is an established subject matter expert in the infrastructure project delivery space with over 20 years of direct experience in building some of the most iconic projects in New York City.

Prior to joining the JFK Terminal One Project, Patrick led the Capital Division of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, managing a $9+ billion project portfolio, including 95+ projects in design/construction, as well as a large team of engineers, architects, landscape architects, and other technical and administrative project support staff. He provided executive oversight for all capital design and construction work which included large-scale infrastructure projects, such as: construction of the New York Mets Minor League Stadium in Coney Island Brooklyn and design and construction of the Coney Island Hospital, the East Midtown Greenway, and the West Thames Pedestrian Bridge. In addition to his core capital projects he also played a key role in the development of the proposed state of the art BQX Streetcar transportation system.

Prior to NYCEDC, Patrick worked for the Port Authority of NY & NJ overseeing design and construction of the World Trade Center site, and for the New York City Transit Authority monitoring their $32 billion capital program, which included the design and construction of mega projects such as the East Side Access project and the New Second Avenue Subway line.

He is a graduate of Temple and New York University and holds a bachelor’s and master’s in Civil Engineering, and a master’s in Business Administration.
