Oscar Manchego

Oscar Manchego is a 2024 CUNY Fellow at Columbia University. He grew up in Brooklyn, where he came across people from all walks of life and developed a deep appreciation for community and teamwork. Oscar holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Baruch College, where he majored in finance and minored in economics. During his undergrad, Oscar competed in numerous competitions such as the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge and the Bloomberg Case competition, securing a top 6% and first-place finish, respectively. At Baruch, he currently works as a college assistant and master tutor supporting business students in math, finance, and economics courses. He was recently awarded the title of Tutor of the Year 2024 from the Student Academic Consulting Center of Baruch College. He enjoys the sense of accomplishment he gains from helping his students succeed in their academic goals. He plans to leverage his M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management to acquire a finance role or management consulting position post-graduation.
