Nia Burks is a 2025 HBCU Fellow at Columbia University, where she is pursuing a Master's in Narrative Medicine. She is a 2025 graduate of Tuskegee University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Pre-Health). Nia is passionate about advocacy, public health, and, and advancing equity in healthcare through research, mentorship, and community engagement. Her undergraduate experiences, including serving as President of her NAACP chapter and as an American Heart Association Scholar, helped prepare her to lead, engage diverse communities, and contribute to meaningful change in healthcare and social justice.
