Nafisa Hussein
Narrative Medicine Program Representative
Hi, all! I'm Nafisa, originally born in Egypt but raised in New York. As a passionate storyteller and published author, I’ve always believed in the transformative power of sharing voices and experiences. With nine years of experience as a healthcare administrator, I’ve learned how to bridge the gap between patients and providers through clear communication, creative problem-solving, and a strong sense of empathy. I’m excited to bring these skills to SPS as the Narrative Medicine program representative, serving as a bridge between students and faculty to foster connection, growth, and collaboration. My goal is to support our community and create opportunities for meaningful engagement. When I’m not completing coursework or advocating for the program, you’ll find me immersed in puzzles (or a great book); choreographing dance routines; or creating unforgettable memories with my loved ones. I’m eager to contribute and help shape a vibrant, supportive community within our program.
