Nabeed Zaman

Nabeed Zaman is Vice President in New York Life’s Corporate Compliance Department and serves as Chief Compliance Officer for NYLIFE Securities and Eagle Strategies, the company’s retail broker-dealer and investment adviser subsidiaries supporting more than 7,000 financial professionals and over $100 billion in assets under management. In this role, he leads a division of over 40 compliance professionals responsible for regulatory inquiries and examinations, testing and monitoring, analytics, surveillance, field review, wealth management compliance, and policy governance.

Nabeed joined New York Life in 2015 and went on to lead a team of risk and control professionals within the company’s service and operations department. In 2018, he transitioned to Corporate Compliance as a Corporate Vice President, where he has held progressively senior roles supporting the company’s insurance and securities businesses. In 2022, he was appointed Head of Compliance Analytics and Monitoring, where he developed and executed a multi-year transformation strategy to enhance the maturity, efficiency, and effectiveness of New York Life’s compliance risk management programs through data and analytics. Nabeed has extensive experience overseeing the design and enhancement of control frameworks to support resilient and compliant business operations.

He holds a B.A. from Baruch College, an M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management from Columbia University, and a J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law.
