Mike Zwecher
Former Managing Director, Advisory, Deloitte
Mike Zwecher has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry as a leader in Enterprise Risk. Most recently Mike was a Managing Director (MD) in the Deloitte & Touche Risk practice. At Deloitte, Mike covered all aspects of risk for both a firm’s own internal purposes and to meet the requirements of the multiplicity of regulatory authorities.
In prior roles, Mike held Managing Director-level leadership positions as the Global Head of Commodities Risk Management and as the Global Head of Model Risk (Quantitative Risk Management) at Bank of America / Merrill Lynch. While at Deutsche Bank, Mike was the Americas head of Valuation.
Mike has published peer-reviewed journal articles on complex multidimensional derivatives, investment analytics, has been an invited discussant at a recent NBER conference, and has published a book and workbook on Retirement Portfolio construction with John Wiley & Sons. Mike Holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in finance, and a M.S. in economics from The University of Wisconsin, Madison; an M.A. in economics from Tufts University; and a B.A. in economics from Framingham State University.
