Michele M. Trizzino

Associate Director of Administration, Construction Administration

Michele M. Trizzino is the Associate Director of Administration at Columbia University who has led the Master of Science in Construction Administration program to be ranked annually as the #1 Construction Management and Construction Technology program in New York, the Northeast, and USA.

Trizzino was the inaugural advisor for the Master of Science in Nonprofit Management program and has traveled across the United States, South Asia, and the Middle East to meet professionals with goals to advance their education and position in industry. 

She is a partner with Columbia University Facilities and Operations and has delivered the Coach Training for the 2024 CU GROW: Vendor Development Program cohort, an initiative that coaches (MWL) firms to expand their business opportunities. In its first five years, CU Grow has helped 84 firms secure over $102M in contracts across Columbia’s campuses. 

Trizzino was awarded ‘2021 Outstanding Woman’ by the Women Builders Council, the leading association representing women in the construction industry. In 2022, the Columbus Citizens Foundation and ABC-7 featured Trizzino for her academic success and professional accomplishments as an Italian-American. Trizzino sits on the Scholarship Committee for the Columbus Citizens Foundation, a nonprofit organization in New York City committed to fostering an appreciation of Italian-American heritage and achievement.

For 10+ years, Trizzino has actively participated in the speech and debate community. She supports Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, NY and has judged national tournaments hosted by Columbia, Harvard, UPENN, and Yale. For over a decade, she has participated at the New York State Catholic Forensic League Championships and National Catholic Forensic League Championships. In 2021, she was an inaugural judge for the Senior Debate League hosted by the Brooklyn Public Library and inaugural judge for the intergenerational debate series, Bridging the Gap. Trizzino also coaches and advises student commencement speakers at Columbia University and SPS Next, a showcase for creative, innovative, and change-maker students to share their insights, ideas, and experiences with the Columbia community.

Trizzino has a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was Valedictorian of her class. While earning her master's degree, Trizzino was President of the Human Capital Management Club and was awarded Columbia University School of Professional Studies (SPS) Excellence Awards that included Scholar Practitioner of the Year, Program Innovation of the Year, Heart of a Lion Finalist, and SPS Organization of the Year Finalist. 

Trizzino is an alumna of the Master of Science in Human Capital Management program at Columbia University in the City of New York and was Valedictorian of the Columbia University School of Professional Studies Class of 2024.
