Maryum Khan
Bioethics Program Representative
Maryum Khan is a Master of Science candidate in Bioethics at Columbia University. She serves as the Bioethics Representative for the SPS Student Government, where she works to strengthen communication between students, faculty, and administration while fostering collaboration across the Bioethics program and SPS community.
With a background in Psychology and Political Science from Rutgers University, she works to translate ethical reflection into practical change through principled leadership and advocacy, where empowerment is paired with accountability.
Maryum also serves as President of the Graduate Muslim Student Association (GMSA) and New Jersey Representative for Charity Week: For Orphans and Children in Need. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading, watching Bollywood films, swimming, trying new foods, and exploring New York City.
