Louisa Freeman
Sustainability Management Program Representative
My name is Louisa Freeman and I am a sustainability lead with 7+ years of experience in serving the environmental sector. My German-American upbringing heavily influenced my interest in this field, where I predominantly worked with global organizations to further sustainability in creative and scalable methods. For the last 5 years, I led Business Development at a venture-backed startup working to help companies transition to the circular economy with reusable packaging solutions. Before then, I worked in collegiate athletics, airlines, green finance, and carbon offsetting to learn how each sector uniquely responds to the climate crisis. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I studied sustainability while competing on the D1 Varsity Rowing team. I also led Student-Athletes for Sustainability (M-SAS) to implement sustainability initiatives across the athletic community.
