Lelani Pacific-Jack
Columbia SPS CUNY Fellow | Baruch College (Class of 2023)
Lelani Pacific-Jack is a college graduate from Brooklyn. She earned her degree in political science and Japanese from Baruch College, graduating a year early in 2023. Lelani previously worked as a researcher for the Japan Consulate and served as president of the Baruch Japan Club.
In 2023, she was selected as one of only 15 students nationwide for the inaugural Japan U.S. Friendship Commission Summer Institute Fellowship, a prestigious academic and career exploration program held in Japan. Lelani also received the Dr. Wendy Heyman Public Interest Fellowship for her commitment to public service, the Solei Spears Award for the Advancement of Social and Racial Justice, and the Vidal Perez Award for the highest graduating senior GPA.
Currently enrolled in the Technology Management program, Lelani aims to integrate her background in diplomacy with the technology field. At SPS, she has already taken on a leadership role as the head of events and strategic planning technology in the Business Association. Lelani is passionate about contributing to the Columbia SPS community and paving the way for future fellows.
