Lauren Glover
Lecturer, Strategic Communication; Managing Director of Marketing, Blue Seedling
Lauren Glover is a marketing and communications strategist working at the intersections of tech, media, and the arts. She is currently the Managing Director of Marketing at Blue Seedling, the marketing superpower behind some of the world’s fastest-growing enterprise B2B startups.
Prior to Blue Seedling, Glover worked for the arts education and media company Story Pirates, where she held a variety of roles, including associate producer of The Story Pirates Podcast, which was created in partnership with Gimlet Media and Spotify. Glover also worked as the operations manager for Janet Mock, the New York Times bestselling author and writer/director of FX’s Pose.
Glover has been a teacher and mentor to writers and public speakers for 14 years. She received extensive training in writing mechanics and collaborative pedagogy as part of the Barnard College Writing Fellows program, and she was chosen to help design Barnard’s first public speaking training program in 2007. Glover's approach to teaching writing and speaking is also informed by her background as a performing artist and her training at the Moscow Art Theatre.
She is thrilled to be returning to Columbia, where she received her M.S. in Strategic Communication and served as course associate for Profs. Kevin Visconti and Hayley Berlent.
