Khuong (Leo) Le, Ph.D.

Khuong (Leo) Le is a professor-turned-entrepreneur, co-founder of MoirAI—an advanced analytics company based in Denver, Colorado—and co-founder of DreamWeldTech, a UK-based company developing welding robots using wire-arc additive manufacturing technology for manufacturers in semiconductors, medical devices, electric vehicles, and aerospace. Prior to co-founding MoirAI and DreamWeldTech, he was a full-time associate professor of management at the University of Colorado, Denver, Business School and Kent State University, Business School. 

He has expertise in digital strategy and transformation and marketing analytics. His research has been published in A-ranked journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, JCIS, and Energy Policy. While serving as a management professor at Kent State University, he was a key member to design the university’s first and nationally highly-ranked M.Sc. program in Business Analytics.Besides academia, Khuong is very active in the entrepreneurial community and has spent over 8 years collaborating with tech companies in the Bay Area, Korea, and Israel. He is particularly skilled at working on the business models and applications of emerging, innovative technologies and systems. He was advisor for Algopix (acquired by Google in 2024) – an Israeli ecommerce company in Palo Alto, California that provides Business Intelligence services for merchants on ecommerce sites. Khuong is also very keen on ventures in healthcare and medicine. In late 2021, Khuong joined Jason Calacanis’ well-known syndicate to invest (series A) in Thalamus which provides SaaS for over 90% of U.S. hospitals to process data for their residency (GME) programs. 

In his spare time, Khuong enjoys mentoring high school students at CEd—helping them develop high-impact capstone projects in Software and Technology, Business Ventures, and Engineering Innovation Pathways to strengthen their applications to elite universities such as the Ivy League, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, CalTech, Oxbridge, and Tsinghua/Beijing.
