Ketaki Sonali Upasani ('25 SPS)

Sonali is an MS in Strategic Communication student at Columbia University and holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2023). Originally from the Bay Area, California, she is passionate about storytelling, brand management, and digital social impact. She began her professional journey at 17 through photography, later contributing to newspapers, magazines, and short films during her undergraduate years.
Before starting at Columbia, Sonali spent a year in India freelancing and working with the grassroots organization Nazaria Arts Collective, where she mentored youth artists in photography and filmmaking and facilitated internships, further deepening her commitment to social causes and creative development.
Focused on documenting historical, urban, and familial narratives, Sonali aims to craft impactful stories that bridge cultures and elevate voices while collaborating with organizations that address global opportunities and cultivate strategic relationships across industries.
