Josh Tomsik
Director of Compensation, Consumer Bank and Citi Holdings Unit, Citigroup
Josh Tomsik is a Human Capital professional with experience both internationally and in the U.S. that includes Compensation, Workforce Analytics, HRIS, and Training and Development. Tomsik currently works at Citigroup, a leading global bank which does business in more than 100 countries. He serves as the Director of Compensation for Citi’s Consumer Bank and Citi Holdings Unit.
During his undergraduate studies, Tomsik did volunteer work in Bolivia and studied and worked in China. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, he moved to Beijing to work as program director and develop curriculum for New Oriental (NYSE: EDU), China’s leader in test preparation education.
Following his time in Beijing, Tomsik returned to the U.S. to pursue an M.B.A. and was hired at Citigroup into their HR leadership accelerator program. He has worked in both New York and Hong Kong focusing on the design and implementation of HR Scorecards and People Analytics. He also managed compensation in Citi’s Institutional Bank and troubled asset unit, Citi Holdings, and rose quickly through the ranks to where he now sits as Director of Citi’s Consumer Banking unit.
Tomsik is an adjunct faculty member of Columbia University, teaching "Total Rewards and People Analytics." He is also a guest lecturer at various universities speak on Finance, HR and Organizational Behavior.
Tomsik is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.
