Jessie H. Lee ('19SPS, Enterprise Risk Management) has 20+ years of leadership experience in financial, government, higher education and nonprofit sectors. In her consulting role with Better Future Strategies, Jessie is a strategic and insightful leader who enables organizations to transform and grow through innovative and inclusive approaches integrating enterprise risk management, technology and data to strengthen financial and operational sustainability and flexibility. She employs data-driven approaches and builds collaborative and trusted relationships with boards, executive leaders, staff, strategic partners, and sector leaders.
Jessie began her career with regional banks in New York City managing commercial lending portfolios, and with Bank of New York Mellon managing commercial investment banking operations. She next managed technology operations and transformation programs at United Nations Federal Credit Union. She then joined the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she developed business and technology strategies to support critical business operations, and designed and implemented enterprise risk management standards and frameworks. Jessie next became Director of Risk Management at Adelphi University, acting as chief risk officer and focusing on creating long-term value by supporting the university in identifying and pursuing opportunities while managing risks, and enabling Adelphi to respond nimbly to changes that would affect the university’s strategic direction and academic innovations.
Currently, she serves multiple nonprofit and pubic organizations: Grants Advisory Committee of New York Women’s Foundation, Advocacy Committee of the New York City Arts in Education Roundtable, Board of the Cameron Kravitt Foundation, the Advisory Board of the City Tutors, the Language Assistance Advisory Committee of New York City Civic Engagement Commission, Board of International Human Rights Art Festival.
