Harish Dakshina

Harish is a senior leader with deep experience in business transformation, risk management, and regulatory compliance across the Financial Services industry. Currently at Vanguard, he leads operational and risk services for the Self-Directed Retail division, spanning Client Experience and Sales & Service Operations. In this role, he focuses on strengthening the integrity and resilience of client interactions across digital and human channels. Harish partners closely with product, technology, and risk leaders to enhance capabilities supporting secure money movement, fraud prevention, and operational integrity while strengthening controls around data risk and regulatory compliance. He also leads cross-enterprise efforts to identify emerging risks—including those associated with the growing use of artificial intelligence—and to ensure appropriate governance and controls are embedded as AI-enabled capabilities expand.

Harish is focused on leveraging data and AI-driven insights to improve risk detection, monitoring, and prioritization, helping leadership teams surface emerging patterns and direct investments toward the most critical risk remediation initiatives. Prior to joining Vanguard, Harish was a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory practice, where he advised leading domestic and international banking organizations on board-level matters including reputational risk, regulatory compliance, and large-scale operational transformation across Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer Banking, Payments, Credit Cards, and FinTech organizations. He began his career working with early-stage technology start-ups in product development, supporting the full lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
