Fabiana Zegarra

Fabiana Corcino Zegarra is pursuing a Master of Science in Knowledge and Information Strategy at Columbia University's School of Professional Studies, with a concentration in Cybersecurity, and is proud to serve as IKNS Student Representative on the SPS Student Government (SPSSG). Through this role, she advocates on behalf of IKNS students, helping connect them with program leadership and the wider Columbia community to improve their experience at SPS.

Fabiana believes student government should be welcoming, cooperative, and genuinely tuned in to what students need. Her term centers on linking IKNS with other SPS programs and closing communication gaps across the school, so students can connect not just with their peers but with educators and staff as well. She's especially focused on giving students real avenues to speak up for themselves, form relationships beyond their own program, and get the most out of their time at SPS.

As IKNS Student Representative, Fabiana sees her role as linking students, programs, and the University at large. Her broader aim is a more unified SPS, where IKNS feels genuinely connected to other programs, peers, and staff. SPS and Columbia are what students make of them — and she wants every student to have every avenue possible to do just that.
