Emily Taylor

Hello everyone! My name is Emily Taylor, and I have the pleasure and honor of serving as your SPS Student Government President for the 2024-2025 academic year. Originally from a small farming town in Idaho, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Utah Valley University. Moving across the country to study at Columbia has been a thrilling experience, and my time in SPSSG has truly been a highlight. I’m studying Nonprofit Management and plan to attend law school after graduation. I've been privileged to serve in various leadership roles within SPSSG, including PR Chair and as Secretary on the Executive Board. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to lead our student body in its next chapter. My vision for SPSSG revolves around empowering students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. I enjoy reading or listening to audiobooks or podcasts in my spare time, exercising, and exploring New York City. During my time with SPSSG, I hope to give back to the vibrant Columbia community and help address student concerns and needs. I am thrilled to serve the SPS student body and look forward to the year ahead!
