Senior Vice President of Global Philanthropy at United Way Worldwide (UWW)

Crashonda Andrew, CFRE, CAP® is a global philanthropy leader and the Senior Vice President of Global Philanthropy at United Way Worldwide (UWW), where she leads private development efforts to mobilize the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. She oversees global fundraising strategy across individual giving, major and transformational gifts, planned giving, foundations, and international philanthropy, with a specialization in diaspora philanthropy. 

With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit and international development, Crashonda has worked closely with philanthropists, foundations, family offices, and corporate partners to support high-impact global initiatives. Her work includes leading large-scale disaster relief and recovery fundraising efforts, directing critical resources to communities affected by natural disasters across the United States and internationally.

Prior to her current role, Crashonda served as Vice President of Individual Giving at United Way Worldwide and previously held senior fundraising leadership roles at the NAACP and Feeding America, where she built and led high-performing development teams and advanced equity-centered fundraising strategies.

Crashonda is passionate about mentorship, career development, and expanding access to leadership within the nonprofit sector. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-DC) Washington, DC Metro Area Chapter and frequently speaks with students and emerging professionals about careers in philanthropy, global development, and social impact.

A North Carolina native, Crashonda holds an MFA from The George Washington University and a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®).
