Conrad Loprete
M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
Conrad Loprete is a graduating student in the M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NECR) program at Columbia University.
He has worked for Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) since March 1998 and has served in their Ombudsman’s Office since January 2022. Prior to joining the Ombudsman’s Office, Conrad spent 24 years working in urban child protection field offices in a variety of roles, including direct service social worker, foster care social worker, and supervisor. For many years, he was a foster parent for DCF as well.
Conrad earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University and a master’s in social work from Salem State University. Additionally, Conrad attained post-master’s certificates from Simmons College in trauma informed practice and Springfield College in trauma informed practice with children and adolescents.
Conrad enthusiastically refers to his role in the Ombudsman’s Office as his “dream job” and enjoys being a professional helper.
