Hezekiah Williams
Columbia HBCU Fellow 2021 | M.S. in Sustainability Management - Jackson State University
Hezekiah Williams is a 2021 HBCU Fellow at Columbia University. Passionate about engineering, biotechnology and sustainability, Hezekiah plans to use his masters degree from the SPS Sustainability Management program to further his career goals of owning a biotechnology/engineering enterprise that produces armor for the United States Military. In addition to his school work, Hezekiah serves in many capacities on-campus such as SPS Student Government (SPSSG) Representative for the Sustainability Management (SUMA) Program, SPSSG Diversity Ambassador to the Columbia SPS DEIA Committee, and pro forma SPSSG DEIA Consultants Chair. In each of his roles, his main responsibilities are to represent the SUMA Program and SPS Student Body in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility as well as facilitating the day-to-day operations for students. He has obtained an internship in Sustainable Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, to which he has been accepted to pursue his PhD. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Jackson State University.
