Niare Galvez

Columbia Fellow 2021 | M.S. in Sports Management - Lincoln University

Niare Galvez is a 2021 HBCU Fellow at Columbia University. She is passionate about content creation and brand development. Niare plans to use her masters degree from the SPS Sports Management program to advance her career as a sports communications professional. Niare wants to develop brand campaigns for sports in the tech space and the metaverse. As Niare advances in her job, she hopes to instill in others the belief that they, too, can exemplify excellence through their degrees and future careers as black communications professionals. In addition to her school work, Niare works as an intern for a company that specializes in global and corporate communication in addition to her schoolwork. Her primary responsibilities include collaborating on events and external programming initiatives to increase the company's attendance, particularly in the academia, political, and social start-up environments. Niare is also the President of the Black Sports Management Union at Columbia University. Niare also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Lincoln University.
