Prodyot Samanta

Lecturer, Enterprise Risk Management; Head of Enterprise Risk Management, Bank of New York Mellon

Prodyot is Head of Enterprise Risk Management at Bank of New York Mellon in New York, where he oversees the risk identification and risk appetite processes for the bank globally and ensures alignment with other elements of the enterprise-wide risk management function including, climate change risk, compliance and financial crimes, third party risk, resiliency risk, technology risk management and risk assurance. Prior to BNYM, Prodyot was as independent consultant conducting seminars, workshops, ERM assessments and research, working closely with companies, and nonprofit organizations including the Federal Reserve Bank of NY and HSBC to help them establish robust ERM practices. He also spent several year at Standard and Poor’s where he was the chief architect for designing and shaping the framework and analytical methodology for assessing the ERM practices of financial institutions.
