International Nonprofit Organizations Operating Under Oppressive Governments

Authoritarian regimes have been advancing worldwide, under traditional regime-change formulas or through elections and institutional control, migrating from weak democracies to authoritarian regimes.

In an open dialogue, Nour Batyne, '19SPS, Nonprofit Management, and Associate Instructor in the program, and Dr. Carlos E. Ponce, Senior Lecturer, M.S. Nonprofit Management, will share personal and professional insights on nonprofits/NGOs operating under oppressive governments, as well as the effects of Covid-19 on civil society in authoritarian countries.
