Vinay Venkatraman

Alumni, Construction Administration; Global Career Week India Co-Chair

Vinay Venkatraman is a Fall 2015 alumnus of the Columbia University School of Professional Studies’s Construction Administration M.S. program.

After obtaining a Master of Science degree from SPS, he worked as a Project Controls Engineer at AECOM CCM where he handled tight deadlines during emergency circumstances in the South Ferry Terminal Station Complex Rehabilitation.

Vinay also does Vertical Transportation Engineering for Various Residential, Hotel, Mixed-Use, and Commercial Tower Projects in India and the Middle East to ensure performance and safety compliance with IS, NBC - India, EN, ASME, ADA, IBC, NFPA. This includes Equipment Reviews in existing buildings to appraise the client on the quality of O&M undertaken, performance parameters, and the extent of retrofit required.

He enjoyed his time at SPS so much, that after graduating, he continues to engage with the Construction Administration program and his school to facilitate breakout sessions of three subsequent incoming Construction Administration cohorts. He was also the Student Marshall for the 2017 Commencement for the Construction Administration program.
