IKNS Conversations That Matter: Reimagining Work with Slack’s Future Forum

IKNS conversations that matter

Join us for the next Conversations that Matter, featuring Helen Kupp.

Dissatisfaction with the status quo has simmered below the surface for years. The pandemic has caused things to boil over. The sudden move to remote work provides the opportunity to question decades of orthodoxy about a 9-to-5, office-centric, homogeneous work culture. There has never been a better, or more necessary, time to rethink the fundamentals of how organizations work. It’s an opportunity to reimagine both the culture and norms we work with and the tools and technology we work on.

Join us on Wednesday, October 21st at 8:00 pm ET for a conversation with Helen Kupp from the Slack Future Forum, led by IKNS lecturer, Jordon Sims.

Speaker: Helen Kupp, Director Product Strategy, Future Forum, Slack

Helen Kupp is currently Slack’s Director of Product Strategy, and lead for its newest initiative - Future Forum – a “think tank” run as a startup with the mission of creating a better way to work, reimagining management, and driving a leadership revolution… not evolution. With the objective of pushing organizations to reimagine work in the new digital-first workplace, Helen is focused on Slack Future Forum’s research agenda, developing partnerships, and driving C-suite working groups to not only redefine the world of work, but to also make the new world of remote work, actually work for today’s diverse world of individuals, teams, and whole organizations.

Moderator: Jordon Sims, IKNS Lecturer; Founding Partner at Imperium Global Advisors

Jordon is a Lecturer for the Master of Science in Information and Knowledge Strategy (IKNS) and Founding Partner of Imperium Global Advisors and advising clients across cyber, tech, defense, startups, and non-profit associations. Jordon has many years of legislative, political and professional advocacy experience globally. Most recently in government, he was the Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX), the senior Republican for the House Appropriations Committee and the most senior Republican woman in Congress.

Jordon is currently researching the future of work and co-teaches the IKNS course Navigating the Future of Work.
