The field of Bioethics focuses on utilizing the four main principles of ethics and applying these principles into clinical cases and enhancing the quality of the patient or participant experience in clinical research settings. The understanding of medical research incorporated with ethics is an opportunity to learn about patient autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice for patient care.
Hima Katrapati is an alumni from the Bioethic program at Columbia University School of Professional Studies. Prior to pursuing the Bioethics program, she recently completed her Master’s of Business Administration in Healthcare Systems Management at the University of Toledo and has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Toledo.
Hima has experience in extracting university data information through Qualtrics and has experience with analyzing student job outcomes from the platform, Handshake. She has experience working in the medical field industry and has utilized ERP systems such as Infor CloudSuite Financials and electronic health records, such as PointClickCare.
Hima enjoys being able to assist students, meet new people, and learn about their unique backgrounds. She is eager to start this journey with the students at Columbia University.
