Guy Miller

Lecturer of Finance, Summer Session

Guy Miller has been the Senior Deputy General Counsel for Citadel Securities since July 2017. In this role, Mr. Miller is responsible for overseeing all of the legal and regulatory aspects of Citadel Securities’ business, covering equities, ETFs, options, swaps, fixed income, FX, capital markets, market structure issues and corporate strategic transactions.

Prior to joining Citadel Securities, Mr. Miller was senior legal counsel for Jane Street, a quantitative trading firm. Prior to his role at Jane Street, Mr. Miller spent almost 10 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where, at various times, he served as legal counsel to the firm’s investment banking, fixed income and equities sales & trading businesses. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Miller served as a capital markets and corporate finance attorney at Shearman & Sterling and Baker & McKenzie.

In addition to his work at Citadel Securities, Mr. Miller currently is a lecturer at Columbia University, where he teaches courses on security analysis and U.S. financial market structure.

He holds a B.A., with honors, from Stony Brook University, a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
