Witold Czubala

Executive Director, UBS

Witold Czubala is a finance professional with over 15 years of experience at leading Wall Street firms including UBS, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Moody’s Investor Services. He has experience in quantitative modeling, econometric research and risk management. Witold leads a team of data scientists at UBS Global Wealth Management applying machine learning and statistical models to product and portfolio optimization problems. In his previous role at UBS Evidence Lab and IB Research he was responsible for modelling based on alternative data.

His previous positions also include leadership roles in Market Risk and Risk Analytics at Morgan Stanley, the Securitized Products Ratings group at Moodys and the Chief Investment Officer group at Bank of America, focusing on utilizing quantitative modeling and analytics for financial applications.

Witold holds a PhD in Economics from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on time series econometric analysis applied to economic and financial problems, an MS in Mathematical Finance from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and an MA from the Warsaw School of Economics.
