Business Certificate Lecturer Perry Beaumont's 'Digital Finance' Named Outstanding 2019 Reference Finalist

This summer, Advanced Graduate Business Certificate faculty member Perry Beaumont's "Digital Finance: Big Data, Start-ups, and the Future of Financial Services" was named a finalist for Outstanding 2019 Reference text by Taylor & Francis.

The book, which is Beaumont's third text, was published by Routledge Press in the fall of 2019. He wrote it after finding a lack of finance texts for students and practitioners on how to integrate concepts of digital finance into existing traditional finance platforms.

“There are core fundamental elements of finance that will be bedrock principles, like reading a balance sheet or valuing a company, but I felt there was a need for a companion textbook to bring people up to date with all the other things going on in the finance world that were more technology-oriented,” Beaumont said. “This text covers all things digital happening today within financial services, insurance and even real estate.”

Beaumont, Ph.D., is a Lecturer of Finance the Advanced Graduate Business Certificate program. You can learn more about his book here. Earlier this year, Beaumont was also named an Amazon Web Services Ambassador to share remote learning resources with underserved areas.
