Gavin is a design leader, instructor and facilitator helping the best organizations in the world transform the way they do work and build more effective products. His superpower is listening to people and cutting through complex problems. Mr. Wassung has 12 years of experience with Fortune 500 clients including Citi, IBM, MetLife, Samsung, and Verizon. He's built and managed high-achieving design teams in hyper-growth environments as well as within large organizations.
His design experience includes leadership of research and insights, agile digital transformation, and design and service innovation teams. To enable organizations to work smarter and develop more effective products, he develops tools, workshops, and product solutions. He regularly presents on topics including experience mapping, design thinking, and human-centered design.
Gavin is passionate about education and the next generation. He's taught design at his alma mater, Pratt Institute, for 7 years. He has experience in a lab, lecture, and training environment. His emphasis is on communicating the research and design process, using empathy and data-driven decision making, and articulating an iterative, reflective analysis of a body of work.
Gavin is currently a Principal at Person, a design and strategy company in New York.
