Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Webinar: Building Relationships and Rapport is a Long Process of Negotiation

How to enter a new system as an outsider from the viewpoint of a complex systems approach.

Joan C. Lopez joins Dr. Beth Fisher-Yoshida to discuss a fieldwork project in Medellín, Columbia. They explain the importance of structure, method, and processes. They also stress the need to be open to what is emergent and organic including being receptive and responsive to the needs of the different stakeholder groups with whom you're working. They are in the process of authoring a book about this methodology which is to be published before the end of the year.
