Alan Cheung

Alan H. Cheung is Director at the MUFG Bank located in New York. He is also Faculty/Lecturer of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Master Program at Columbia University. With over 18 years of working experience ranging from Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), valuation, credit and market risks, ERM, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), risk management, BSA/AML/OFAC to forensic investigation in both forensic accounting and computer forensic areas.
Alan works extensively in ERM and CFIUS build-up programs at various Fortune 500 companies and other financial institutions. In addition to the programs on credit and market risks above, he chairs a program for fostering risks and global capital markets at various banking forums/conferences. The product areas in which he has been involved include Fixed Income, Equity, Asset Management, and Private Banking/Wealth Management. In recent years, he has also been involved in a number of educational programs for stakeholders from the US, Japan, and China.
Alan has managed extensive communications resulting in strong working relationships with Federal Reserve Bank (FRB), Department Financial Services (DFS) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) regulators in the US over the years.
Among other writings, Alan is the author of Introduction to Computer Forensic (May 2011) and Corporate Awareness on Computer Hacking (May 2011). He received his B.E. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry B.S. degrees from New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology, and an M.L.A. degree in Finance from Harvard University. He holds Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ISO 9000:2000 Certified, Certificate for Derivative Instruments, and Certificate for Forwards and Futures.
