Michelle Vakman

Michelle Vakman is the Executive Director of Admissions Operations and oversees all admissions-related operations for the School of Professional Studies.  She has worked in higher education throughout her career, including time spent as a recruitment and marketing planner as well as a boots-on-the-ground recruiter. An avid traveler, she was lucky enough to visit 12 states and ten countries in pursuit of high quality prospective students. She prides herself on reading industry trends and finding new and innovative ways to reach and meet the needs of students.

Michelle holds a Master of Science in higher education administration from Baruch College, a Master of Arts in psychology from Adelphi University, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Brandeis University. Prior to joining SPS, Michelle was Director of Graduate Admissions at New York Institute of Technology and a counseling volunteer at the Long Island Crisis Center. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and finding the next great hole-in-the-wall restaurant.
