Kyle Wilson

Assistant Director of Advising

Kyle Wilson is an active member of the higher education and creative music community in New York City. Before joining Columbia University, Kyle worked as a registrar & operations specialist at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. He has also served as the Associate Director of Advising & Assistant Director of Academic Affairs at his alma mater, The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. It was here that he developed a passion for student affairs, academic and career advising, curriculum development, and social justice issues within higher education.

As a saxophonist, Kyle is involved with an eclectic variety of musical projects, including The Martin Nevin Group, Ben van Gelder’s Medallion, The Slim Tones and his own groups, The Burnt Ends and SHWILSON. He has released two albums as a leader and has recorded on many others.
