Brad Heikes

Brad was born and raised in Ohio, earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina and his Master of Social Work from New York University.

In between degrees, Brad worked as an actor in New York for over 10 years, traveled the world singing the music of Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Brad has tutored and mentored all ages of children and adults in Spanish and English for over 15 years, and spent the past 5 years advising and teaching at The New School. He has developed and facilitated interactive workshops on a variety of subjects ranging from "Improvisation as a Contemplative Practice" to "Race, Racism, and White Fragility" and has been invited to present his work at regional and national conferences. Brad loves yoga, singing, exploring, and generally enjoying life with his wife, friends, and family.
