Columbia University alumna Vicki Hildebrand, ’16SPS, Technology Management, was recently named Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the U.S. Department of Transportation. She acts as the principal advisor to the Secretary, specializing in information technology related matters.
Previously, Hildebrand served as the Vice President of Customer & Partner Advocacy at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). At HPE, her extensive technological background greatly improved business value and customer relationships. Her position as the Senior Director and Chief of Staff for Global Business Services involved managing 18,000 employees. In addition, she led multiple enterprise level programs within the Hewlett Packard Company. Hildebrand’s accomplishments ranged from the first rollout of the HP-UX server platform to the growth of over 200 marketing applications.
