Mark Barnard

With a long career at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mark Barnard currently is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Information Technology division for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. Prior to this roll, Barnard was the President and Chief Executive Officer of National Account Service Company, an Atlanta-based IT infrastructure provider dedicated to claims processing for Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans nationwide. Barnard also spent 16 years with Electronic Data Systems, where he was ultimately responsible for overseeing all electronic data systems operations for various Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans across the nation. In addition, as Vice President at The MEDSTAT Group, Barnard had responsibility for client services and product development.
