Columbia Sports Management and Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea Form Program Partnership

Columbia University's Master of Science in Sports Management has partnered with Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea Master's Degree in Sports Management Program, recognized as one of the most diverse and expansive in the world.

"This opportunity to link these two elite programs is a great next step in the global sports business learning process for both our students and those at Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea," said Scott Rosner, Academic Director of Columbia’s Sports Management master’s program. "Our goal is to mix the academic and the practical experiences for all.”

Columbia students will travel to Madrid during Spring Recess (March 16–23) and study with faculty from Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea and executives from Real Madrid C.F. The week will consist of classroom time from Monday to Friday, a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu, and many more activities. The Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea students will reciprocate with a visit to New York in June and a similar immersive experience.

"We applaud Scott and his team for developing and executing what we believe will be the start of a long term relationship between Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea and Columbia," says Dr. Jason Wingard, Dean of the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University. "Our students are global in scope, and to be able to bring them hands-on experience around all that makes Real Madrid C.F. such a successful and unique global business is exactly what we strive for. We look forward to seeing and hearing the best practices that will arise from this union.”
