Gabriel Amor

Gabriel Amor has taught The Compelling Communicator, Strategic Communication Management, and Capstone in the M.S. in Strategic Communication. He has also taught courses at universities throughout New York on Public Speaking, Language & Context, Business Communications, and Instructional Technology, and is a certified trainer in Situational Leadership and Achieving Extraordinary Results.

Working with major corporations such as American Express, Ogilvy & Mather, First Data, and McGraw-Hill, Gabriel has run learning programs in over twenty countries, consulted on sales and marketing strategies, and managed communications for domestic and global partners.

Gabriel was the recipient of a 2016 PEN Heim Translation Grant Fund for his work on Juana I. He has had four major literary translations published in the United States and has produced and performed work in collaboration with other artists at such venues as The Poetry Foundation (Chicago) and the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center (New York University). He was also a producer for the Emmy-nominated documentary film, The Woman Who Wasn't There.

From 2014 to 2021, Gabriel directed numerous postbaccalaureate programs at Columbia SPS, including four business-related offerings and five certificates designed to prepare students for graduate study.
