Giving Back With the American Language Program
The American Language Program held its second annual food drive in the run-up to Thanksgiving, spearheaded by ALP Advisor Jana Quigley. The students really got in the spirit, and we managed to gather two full boxes of dry goods for Food Bank NYC. SPS staff who saw the collection in 504 even got in on the action and donated too. The prize of free pizza for the class that collected the most went to David Quinn, Sarah Ford, and Tristan Thorne’s level 7, pictured here with the boxes.

Jimmy Fairfield-Sonn and Khionne Awer have been selected for the fellowship, bringing distinct perspectives on client service, professional growth, and leadership to Columbia SPS’s M.P.S. in Wealth Management program.

M.S. in Narrative Medicine student Kay Kasparhauser came to Columbia’s program from a background shaped by her visual art practice, illness, and years spent navigating the health care system.

Catharina Wulandari, an M.S. in Human Capital Management student, drew on her HR experience and Columbia’s interdisciplinary community to develop an AI-powered platform designed to make job interviews more accessible to deaf applicants in Indonesia.
