Celine Solsken Ruben-Salama

Celine has nearly 20 years of experience creating long-term value through risk reduction, efficiency, and sustainability planning. Through her consultancy – FOR THE LONG-TERM, LLC – she advises large, publicly listed companies on ESG/CSR issues with a focus on climate change strategy. As American Express’ first global Director of Sustainability/CSR (2010-2013), Celine was responsible for the company’s global environmental affairs, including strategy setting, implementation, and communications. She has also worked on consulting projects for the UN, EPA Region II, NYSERDA, and NYC Department of Education.
To date, over 80 of her articles have appeared in publications such as: Consilience, the Journal of Sustainable Development; Yahoo Green; and treehugger.com. She holds a M.P.A Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, an M.B.A. in Marketing and a B.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, CUNY.
