Michael Ramah

Lecturer; Owner, Michael L. E. Ramah, LLC

Prior to starting his own firm, Michael L. E. Ramah, LLC, Ramah was a partner and Director of Strategic Planning at Portner Novelli (PN). There, he had overall responsibility for developing planning capabilities including stewardship of the agency’s proprietary in-house planning tool, Compass. 

In addition to his internal responsibilities, Ramah also served as ad hoc counsel to the agency’s clients on branding, strategic planning, message development, business plan development, strategy summits, and related marketing based undertakings. 

As a broad-based marketing generalist, Ramah worked across all of the agency’s practices, as well as internationally. Clients including McDonald’s, Gillette, The American Cancer Society, HP, IBM, The Dole Food Company, and the CDC. From 1987-1997, Ramah was part of the PN international social marketing team, which he eventually directed. Funded primarily by The Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Health Organization (WHO), projects took place in developing countries around the globe on topics including family planning, HIV prevention, nutrition, maternal and child health, and substance abuse prevention. 

Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Ramah was the manager of marketing services at Seven Up International, with responsibility for worldwide implementation of nonadvertising based brand support.
