Judy L. Miller

Senior Lecturer, American Language Program

Judy L. Miller has been teaching at Columbia University’s American Language Program for more than 25 years. After completing her education at Barnard College and Columbia
University, she worked for many years in France as a tenured faculty member at the École
Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Électrotechnique et Électronique, an engineering school in
Paris. As a senior lecturer at the ALP, she has developed and taught courses on all levels of academic English, including Academic Writing, Advanced Academic Writing, and English for Special Purposes. She has written several textbooks in the field, and presented on campus, nationally and internationally, most recently in Spain and the U.K.
