Keziah-Yvonne Smith is currently pursuing a Master’s in Political Analytics at the School of Professional Studies. Keziah-Yvonne is a proud 2026 Graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, where she received her Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in Political Science with a minor in Mass Communication. Keziah-Yvonne is one of the two first-ever Truman Scholars from Xavier, the most prestigious designation for students pursuing careers in public service. Originally from St. Louis, MO, Keziah-Yvonne has had a longstanding passion for social justice, law, and policy. During her time at Xavier, Keziah was a student representative on the Board of Trustees, externed with the Honorable Judge Ivan Lemelle, a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, co-created the “Bridge Dat’ Divide” initiative with Voice of the Experienced, a project aimed at mobilizing young voters and advocates for criminal justice reform, and more. Keziah-Yvonne is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Keziah-Yvonne plans to pursue a career in Civil Rights Law and Policy, advocating for voting rights and Democracy preservation, specifically within the Deep South.
