Dontavious Scott

Dontavious Scott is a 2026 Columbia HBCU Fellow pursuing a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University. A graduate of Albany State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he is dedicated to aligning translational scientific inquiry with patient-centered advocacy. His background encompasses multifaceted biomedical research across synthetic chemistry and disease models, acute clinical experience, and leadership within pre-health organizations. At Columbia, Dontavious aims to combine bench-to-bedside science with deep relational communication, utilizing narrative medicine to humanize clinical practice, address healthcare disparities, and advocate for underserved communities as a future physician-scientist in cardiovascular medicine.
