Cynthia Leung

A proud Brooklynite, Leung graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in American Studies and a minor in Classics. During her time there, she received the 2024 CUNY Thomas Tam Scholarship, the 2024 Rosen Fellowship, the Bulldog Global Citizen Award, and the American Studies Lillian Schlissel Award.

Previously, Leung served as an Advancement Coordinator and was appointed a New York State Notary Public at the nonprofit affiliate of the New York City Bar Association. As a research intern with the Vera Institute of Justice’s Greater Justice New York program, she led survey outreach among New York City’s AAPI communities, contributing to a $500,000 public-safety campaign preceding the mayoral election.

She also recently served as Screenplay Coordinator for the Asian American International Film Festival. She is currently an intern at EST N8, a film finance, production, and sales joint venture, where she supports its festival-strategy account and advances its commitment to Asian cinema. In parallel, she supports impact campaigns for award-winning production companies.

Drawing on her experience as an actor, writer, and producer, Leung aims to build a career as a strategic communicator and storyteller. Her work has been featured by The Webby Awards, CNN’s The Van Jones Show, Vogue, and VICE News. Cynthia is pursuing an M..S. in Strategic Communication.
