Yarik Chinskiy

Lecturer, M.S. Technology Management

Yarik Chinskiy is Vice President and Head of Data, AI, and Corporate Technology Architecture at TD Bank, where he leads architecture for the bank’s data, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology platforms.

He has spent two decades building and leading technology organizations in financial services. Before TD, he was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase heading Data and AI Architecture; Head of Engineering for Data and Analytics Platforms at RBC Capital Markets; and Head of Engineering for the Fixed Income Trading Platform at BrokerTec. In those roles he has aligned technology with business strategy, structured and scaled engineering organizations, made build-versus-buy and investment decisions, and taken production platforms through incidents and regulatory change.

Yarik has worked at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies since 2014, including Fundamentals of Data Engineering in the M.S. in Applied Analytics and Behavioral Challenges in Management in the M.S. in Technology Management. A graduate of the Technology Management program, he brings the perspective of an alumnus who has used the curriculum in senior industry roles.
