Chris Savino

Chris Savino is the Vice President of Player Finance at Major League Soccer (MLS), where he oversees all financial activity related to player transactions. In this role, he manages budget preparation, cash flow, funding, and financial statement reviews. Chris has experience in league governance, having developed key policies and implemented structural changes to MLS League Rules regarding rosters, the salary cap, and compliance. During his tenure, he has supported the league's expansion process for twelve new franchises and serves on the collective bargaining team, successfully negotiating two collective bargaining agreements with the Major League Soccer Players Association.

Prior to joining MLS, Chris spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) managing integrated audits and projects for mid- to large-sized public companies undergoing financial reporting transformations and SAP implementations.

Chris serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for New Jersey Youth Soccer, where he also leads the Financial Services Advisory Board. He has previously held board and committee roles with United Soccer Coaches, Saint Joseph's University, FC Harlem, and Back on My Feet.

Chris has MBAs from SDA Bocconi and the University of Toronto, and he received his B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
